SIRIM is the only institution in Malaysia to conduct certification. Anyfactory or company can apply to SIRIM and audit and obtain accreditation inaccordance with accepted standards under the product certification system.These accreditations are voluntary, but in many cases mandatory accreditationis required at the request of government management.
Certification requirements
Complete product certificationquestionnaire that has been endorse.
Copy of CB certificate and test report.
When receipt of the above documents, thequotation of application fee and factory inspection fee will be informed.
After agreeing the offer, the applicantshould provide an application for product certification.
No samples are requiredif there is no additionalrequirements.
The first factory inspection must complywith the product certification system. Once it meets the requirements, it willissue a certificate.
The certificate is valid for one year. Inorder to ensure the renewal of the certificate, annual inspection must becarried out.
