S-Mark
The "S" sign is the national security certification markattached to the products required by the Argentine Bureau of Industry, Commerceand Mining.
In accordance with resolution 92/98, which came into force in 1998,mandatory safety standards and third-party testing and certificationrequirements for electronic and motor products are established, covering mostof the electrical and electronic equipment, including information technologyequipment (such as printers, printers, etc.), with AC voltages ranging from 50to 1000 Volts or DC voltages ranging from 50 to 1500 volts. Scanners, displays,etc., household appliances, lamps, and audio-visual products must beaccompanied by the "S" logo and the Argentine AccreditationOrganization (AAO) accredited certification body logo to enter Argentina.
Argentina is a member of the CB system, CB certificates and reportsare recognized, which can save a lot of repeated testing and sending samples.Argentina S-Mark safety certification does not require factory inspections.Applicants should provide Spanish nameplates (including safety warning signs)and user manuals. The logo of the certification authority should be added tothe S-Mark logo.
